Dear Patron of the Arts,

You and I may have something in common. I believe that, like me, you are an enthusiastic patron of live theater. 

We know that no other entertainment experience can compare to the excitement of watching actors transform into character in a world magically created by sets, lighting and sound.  That excitement and magic is why we attend performances at the CapePlayhouse.  While I support theater and the arts in many ways, my close association with the CapePlayhouse for the past several years has brought me a great amount of joy and satisfaction.

Could you imagine summers on Cape Cod without the grand CapePlayhouse?  Without programs that introduce our children and grandchildren to the theater?  Or without the technical arts training programs that show the next generations how to mount a professional stage play?  

I cannot. 

That is why I support the non-profit Cape CodCenter for the Arts.  Donations from folks who enjoy the live theater experience – folks like you and me – are used for the CCCArts’ Theater Internship Program, Theater for Children, and Technical Theater Arts Training Program.  Donations also support the CapePlayhouse itself – America’s oldest professional summer theater – helping the CCCArts maintain the eighty-one year old building that is a beloved part of the country’s straw-hat summer theater circuit and a historic jewel of Cape Cod.   

I therefore hope that you and I will soon share something else in common – our status as ‘Friends of the Cape CodCenter for the Arts’.
